Jonathan Bass, an inventor who works for the goverment, makes the mistake of his life. He moves next door to shemp. Lazy, obtuse, obnoxious, Shemp plays the role of the good neighbor, by wrecking the bass's garage, car, and China and somehow makes it look to bass's wife that Jonathan is clumsily at fault. Bass's newest project is a bomb for the army, and it's only a matter of time before helpful shemp turns up in the labotary basement offering his assitance.
