Tanner was the lion mascot of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1934 to 1956. He also made appearances in the in the 1936 Three Stooges short Movie Maniacs, the 1938 short Three Missing Links, the 1940 short You Nazty Spy!, and the 1947 short Hold That Lion!
